The Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery, in Bristol's Clifton area, is one of Bristol's most popular and important art galleries and museums. Housed in an Edwardian Baroque-style building, next to the Wills University building, the Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery has a number of excellent art galleries, displaying many fine examples of paintings, including masterpieces, traditional landscapes, more contemporary work and also some Egyptian and oriental works of art. The Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery also features a number of temporary art exhibitions throughout the year.

The Bristol Victoria Rooms are situated in the Clifton area of Bristol and were completed in 1841, remaining one of Bristol's most impressive buildings and attractions. Standing at the head of Queens Road, in central Bristol, the Bristol Victoria Rooms has been home to many of Bristol's important events, including the official opening of the Bristol Clifton Suspension Bridge.
